THE EARTH DEFENDER
The iFi Audio iDefender gets rid of ground loops by breaking into the noisy power supply and killing the USB power noise. It creates a single earth point. This device is effective in reducing the system noise floor which gives you better dynamic contrast, resolution and warmth.
WITH EFFICIENT POWER MANAGEMENT
If you are using the iFi Audio iDefender with a DAC that uses the USB power from the computer rather than using the in-built battery, the iFi Audio - iDefender is for you.
